Sunday, Dec 9 – Advent Project – Daily Prayer

Welcome to day 8 of the Advent Project. Today is the Second Sunday of advent, and traditionally Sundays in the Advent season are celebrated by lighting one of four candles, one for each week. Whatever you do today, take a moment to remember what it must have felt like to be waiting for the Messiah, wondering if he would ever come. We remember that emotion today, and look to the future where we long for the day Christ will return and bring his kingdom in all its fullness.

Today’s reading is led by Elliott Moon, one of my closest friends and the Music Director at Browns Bridge Community Church. Elliott is such an incredible guy, and is really passionate about pastoring and serving everyone he works alongside. He lives in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife Cori and their three daughters (he’s already cleaning the shotgun). Happy Sunday, happy week 2!…
