House Concerts

I love connecting with people and sharing the story of my personal journey, it’s a huge part of the joy in writing songs for me. Sometimes, however, it’s hard to do that from a large concert stage, or even a large worship environment. I’ve found that one of the best ways to connect with people in a very real way is by sharing music with close friends inside the walls of your own home. So starting this fall, I’m beginning to schedule concerts in living rooms all over Atlanta and around the country.

If you’ve never been to a house concert, you’re not alone. It’s a new idea in the music community, but one that is growing quickly. Imagine throwing a party for your closest friends, family and neighbors, getting as many people as possible comfortably crammed into your living room and enjoying a night of new music. In addition to the music, you get to learn the meaning behind each song and interact with the people around you. Have a question about a song? Feel free to ask, everything is fair game when you’re among friends.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, we’d love to talk more with you about hosting a concert in your home. Below are some details on what that means and how to get started. Check it out, and hopefully I will get a chance to connect with you and your friends soon!

As a host you are committing to two major responsibilities:

LOCATION: 1) Find a place to host the concert. The location should have space for 30+ people. We prefer that food and drink be made available at the venue. The location can be a home (indoors or outdoors), a coffee house, or similar venue. Get creative with space; you’d be surprised how many people you can fit in your living room if you take out the coffee table.

ATTENDEES: 2) Invite your friends and fill the place. We have some graphics to add to emails or actual invitations depending on the route you take. We can also work with you to nail down the details of how to get people to the concert if needed. We could also provide a web based invitation system if that is helpful. Remember, the invitation is coming from you, so the more personal the better.

Sound Like A Plan?:

If that sounds like something you’re excited about, then let’s talk! Please send us an email and we will get back to you quickly on finding a date to make your house concert happen. Soon you’ll be enjoying an evening of music and mission with your best friends, all in the comfort of your own home. Thanks, and we hope to connect with you soon,

Eddie Kirkland
